Neighborhood focus groups were crucial in design development and implementation.

The design focuses on utilizing ‘process spectrums’ as the primary user experience.  Processes such as:  Weather -(rain, draught, fog, light, wind and sound), the creative process of art-making, the demolition/restoration process,  as well as natural processes including food growth, preparation and consumption.  This distillation and exploration of each ‘process spectrum’ pertaining to building, site and its users becomes the dynamic educational, environmental backdrop for this progressive art school.
